With some help from his 13 year-old daughter, and Apple’s iMovie application, Ithaca College Alumnus Tom Baker, Class ’89 put together this video revealing what he believes could be a new Bomber mascot without straying from the Bomber tradition. The video is a rough cut to introduce his concept of a more modern Bomberman. Likewise, he states the fighter pilot would be best suited in a blue uniform which ties in with the Ithaca Bomber colors.
For putting together a quick prototype of his vision, Baker’s mascot seems to be getting a lot of positive feedback from the Ithaca College community, especially alumni at the Save The Bomber Facebook page which is accessible via a Facebook account. Granted the consensus is that some tweaking is necessary, but people seem to prefer this Bomberman over the three other finalist produced by the official mascot search.
Whether or not Baker’s vision is seriously considered by the official mascot search committee is yet to be determined. None-the-less, this Bomber mascot definitely relates to the Bomber name and portrays the confidence and skills needed to engage a Red Dragon.
